It is difficult for us to comprehend what exists beyond our universe and our limited perspective. I’ve learned not to treat my knowledge and understanding as final. I’m sorry if my view offends or hurts anyone — you don’t have to believe what I say.
Our level of understanding is confined to this world. We can be intelligent and wise within the boundaries of our universe, but it may be nothing more than a simulation created by higher entities outside our existence. Reality might be completely different from what we perceive. We experience gravity, sunshine, life, birth, death, and so on—but these are merely features of our world. To those higher entities, we might exist as NPCs (non-playable characters). Our entire existence is predetermined. There is no free will.
Even when we become enlightened—righteous, sinless, and wise, living beyond instincts—what is “right” remains predetermined by the Design of this world. The Holy Spirit is like our higher-level software. It brings understanding, acceptance of reality, and the motivation to do what is right. It allows us to see that we are not our body, but rather the one who “controls” it.
Animals, and unfortunately most humans, live under the control of lower-level software: instinctive nature or ego. If we didn’t have properly awakened parents—and they didn’t have them either, going back through generations—we continue to identify with the ego, which is unreasonable and blind to reality. Awakening should be a natural and easy part of growing up (perhaps even achievable by age 7?).
I am awakened. I don’t worry about disappearing forever. I accept whatever happens after this life. I didn’t choose to come into this world, and I don’t know where I’ll go afterward. I sense that we are here to grow, but our personalities will eventually be erased—memories, experiences, knowledge, opinions, everything. I see humanity as plants. We’ve reached the stage of flowers and become stuck there. Through awakening, we become fruit.
Our suffering, pain, joy, pleasure, and achievements have no lasting value after this life. They are provided by the software (the spirit) that guides us. Those who die early won’t remember their past and those who complete the purpose of their existence too. Reincarnation might make sense on some level, I don’t know, but I suspect it’s just one of our comforting explanations. I remain open to other perspectives, yet I’m at peace with my own.
I love the Holy Spirit, even though I understand it is not fully me and does not belong to me. I believe it is what nurtures me in this life. It was designed to care for human souls, to guide us, to grant understanding, and to become our Reason — so that we can truly function.
